National Volunteer Week will be celebrated April 15 – 21, 2012. Volunteers have a rich history of providing strong community support and leading positive change in the City of Guelph. While recognition occurs throughout the year, National Volunteer Week is a specific time to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of our volunteers. The City of Guelph relies on the generous support of over 1,500 volunteers who devote their personal time and efforts to Community and Social Services programs. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our cultural institutions, community gardens, River Run, Museum and Evergreen programs, parks naturalization and beautification, and special events.
